My Approach

My Style

I am an integrative counsellor, I work with 3 different methods, Person Centred Counselling (talk therapy), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Transactional Analysis.

Using these methods each counselling session is tailored to your individual or a couples needs.

Everyone is unique and no two counselling sessions are the same.

Counselling is all about investing in you and helping you to be the best version of you possible.

A safe place for you

I offer a safe space for you to discuss your feelings, fears and experiences without being judged.
I offer a confidential, warm environment, and my style is empathetic, approachable and non-judgemental. I feel honoured to be part of the journey of self-discovery with each client I support.

Walk and Talk

Sometimes you may find it difficult to open up and talk whilst sat in a room, that's OK. I I offer walk and talk therapy sessions in open spaces to help you feel more comfortable, you may find you open up more while we stroll through the park or along the canal.

Session Frequency

Sessions are generally weekly and are normally agreed for a certain day and time each week. This enables the counselling relationship to develop and grow gaining trust and giving you the confidence to discuss difficult issues and maximising benefits of the therapeutic work.

Session Duration

Sessions generally last 12 weeks (short term - were we focus on one issue) but can also be opened ended (open ended where various issues can be discussed). Counselling cannot be considered as a quick fix and as we are all individuals
